Workplace Cultural Opportunity: Aboriginal Respect, Reciprocity and Relationships

As part of NAIDOC Week, Uncle Phil Duncan, Aboriginal Cultural Training Coordinator at Macquarie University & Elected Representative of the Gomeroi Nation, will deliver a broad introduction on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, with a lens towards the modern workplace. 

This session is particularly relevant for HR, business and CSR leaders and will touch on:

  • Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander history, providing a snapshot at historical events

  • Cultural Values Knowledges and Perspectives

  • How this continues to impact on education, employment and other opportunities

  • Practical strategies for staff and organisations to contribute to positive Aboriginal employment outcomes and culturally diverse workplaces
