13 June 2019 Recap: Making Connections... Ready, Steady, GROW!
This week was all about business, startups and making connections with the Riverside Business Chamber’s After Hours event.
We kicked off the afternoon with Rashid Kotwal & Barbara Sauter from RevealedResources, who explained their Value Gap Analysis (VGA) method, giving us the tools to highlight what’s really important to our clients, where value gaps could exist and how to fix them. This session was very interactive, with the Community sharing their own value propositions and gaining valuable feedback.
Calli Brown (Buffalo Vale), Anthony Aarons (Epifini) and Joel Duckworth (Crewmojo) then treated us to a highly entertaining panel discussion to explore ‘a day in the life of’ a startup founder, along with the vision, purple and passion driving them. It was both inspiring and reassuring to hear the ups and downs of starting a business.
Huge thanks to Buffalo Vale for bringing the delicious Granny’s Venture cocktail back to Venture Café.
Riverside Business Chamber hosted their June Business After Hours with us and the City of Ryde. We explored the impact of Venture Café across the globe with Zara Crichton and Mayor Jerome Laxale explained how community drives innovation in Macquarie Park. Dyalan Govender shared with us the latest on the development of the Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Jan Bouhali shows us how council is working hard to support local business. The formalities were wrapped up by Tony Abboud, President of Riverside Business Chamber.
