Thursday May 2 Recap: Super Experiences

In keeping with our monthly theme "Digitalog", we explored the concept of the intersection of digital and physical spheres through the lens of ‘super experiences’ and how you can apply them to your everyday and work life.

Kevin Liao, CEO at YTML Group kicked off the afternoon with a practical workshop that explored how you can launch and manage your own online tools and improve website engagement. Kevin also showed us how we can use Excel as a programming tool for web apps.

Paul Edwards then joined us to share a new discussion paper recently launched at WORKTECH 19: ‘The Super-Experience: Designing for Talent in the Digital Workplace’. We learnt how to create awe-inspiring and curated experiences in the workplace to attract millenial talent, along with how your workplace can become a learning experience.

Everyone was up on their feet, with Dr. Jon Burtt’s social circus games in the bar area; we learnt how to let go and harness creative movement and flow.

Richard Bennett then taught us the science behind improvisation and spontaneity and how we can use them to super charge creativity and team work.

Oh, and what’s a super experience without a jumping castle or some awesome Nofo kombucha and cold brew coffee on tap!?
